MTP/MPO Harnesses

MTP/MPO harnesses provide fast and precise connections from patch panels to high- density servers and switches.
The furcation housing is extremely compact and with a cable diameter of only 3 mm, the single cord construction reduces cable consumption by as much as 50 percent compared to conventional Figure 8 duplex cables. Harnesses can be supplied with straight tails or staggered tails to match the particular equipment and port numbering scheme on equipment.

Details about MTP/MPO Harnesses

MTP/MPO harnesses are factory terminated and tested to deliver verified optical performance and reliability for improved network integrity. They comprise 8, 12, 16, or 24 fibers cables that terminate in an MTP/MPO connector on one end and 4, 6, 8, or twelve pairs of LC/SC/ST/FC/MDC connectors on the other. MTP/MPO connectors minimize insertion loss, decrease equipment wear and tear, and ensure a physically secure connection. This enables seamless migration from duplex-based 10G systems to 40G and 100G MTP/MPO applications based on parallel optics for Storage Area Network (SAN), Local Area Network (LAN) switch, and Equipment Distribution Area (EDA) patch field applications.

The MTP/MPO harnesses allow for the seamless migration to higher data rates in the data center when used in conjunction with our trunks. They are typically used for patching within a cabinet. MTP/MPO cable, a cost-effective alternative to time-consuming field termination, is designed for high-density fiber patching in data centers which need space saving and reduce cable management troubles.

This MTP/MPO to LC/SC/FC/ST breakout cable is engineered for high-density fiber patching in data centers using singlemode fiber systems. MTP/MPO harnesses supports 40GBASE-PLR4 to 10GBASE-LR and 400G DR4/XDR4 to 100G DR/FR breakout connections. The pre-terminated design ensures fast deployment and consistent low-loss performance.
